Role Details

We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural aluminium profiles within the construction industry and one of the UK’s leading suppliers of waterproofing solutions, predominantly for flat roofs. Due to our continued expansion and significant investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our existing team for a full-time, talented and experienced fabrications TIG Welder with expertise in sanding and finishing welded joints for a smooth and seamless surface to achieve the highest quality finish on our aluminium components. 

This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £35,000- £37,500 per year DOE.

Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing TIG welding on aluminium parts in accordance with industry standards.
• Sanding and finishing welded joints to achieve a smooth and seamless surface.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accuracy in work.
• Collaborating closely with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
• To check all equipment prior to use.
• To maintain equipment and the workplace in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times.
• Working with hand tools, power tools and operating machinery necessary to role.
• To undertake training as required to develop & maintain personal skills to fulfil the above to the required standards.
• Any other tasks which may be reasonably requested or determined in accordance with the Employee Handbook.

Essential

• Proven experience with TIG welding, specifically on aluminium materials.
• Strong skills in sanding and finishing techniques to enhance weld quality.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well.
