Trainee Receptionist
Job Location: Office based – Poole

Role Details
We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of Waterproofing solutions, predominantly for flat roofs and we are looking for a confident and organised Trainee Receptionist to join our team in Poole, Dorset.
This customer-facing role requires both responsive and proactive administration tasks. The role will also support the Office Administrator in reception.
This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £26,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- To represent ICB Group in a professional manner in line with our company values
- To have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of reception
- To handle & transfer telephone enquiries in a polite and efficient manner
- To meet & greet visitors and prepare refreshments or make catering arrangements if necessary
- To keep the training room tidy
- To ensure all post is ready for posting (franked etc) at the end of the working day and recorded on the post register
- To undertake general office duties, including filing, photocopying, etc
- To place stationery orders and maintain stock levels
- To maintain the company calendar
- To place hotel bookings and make travel arrangements, such as flights, where appropriate
- To undertake any other activity which the Group Marketing Manager, Managing Director or CEO might reasonably delegate
Essential
- Previous office experience or administrative exposure is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good IT skills (particularly with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Confident telephone manner
- Positive customer service attitude
- Excellent organisational skills
- Inquisitive nature
- Excellent written and verbal English language
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage workload priorities
Desirable
- Experience of working in a construction environment
- Experience of working with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
