Role Details
We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural aluminium profiles within the construction industry, as well as being one of the UK’s leading suppliers of waterproofing solutions, predominantly for flat roofs. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our existing team, and we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fabrications Designer/Estimator to join our team in Poole, Dorset.
This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £37,000 to £40,000 DOE.
Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce detailed and accurate CAD and/or SolidWorks drawings along with any relevant calculations as requested.
- Always maintain and update our CAD systems, CRM, project records and company processes.
- Create estimates based on architectural and detailed drawings in accordance with ICB products and manufacturing capabilities.
- Use our CRM to prepare quotations for our customers and/or sales team within a specified time frame.
- Use supplier details to obtain 3rd-party quotations where applicable.
- To process and deal with new enquiries received both internally and externally.
- To work with, support and answer any queries from the general fabrication team when required.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with our customers, suppliers and site surveyors.
- To communicate effectively with any internal or external enquiries, queries or issues that may arise in a professional and timely manner.
- To remain up to date with all technical aspects of the Company's products and services, and all relevant aspects of the business sector and the wider industry.
- To undertake training as required to develop & maintain personal skills to fulfil the above to the required standards.
- Ensuring that our CRM system and project records are always kept up to date.
- To undertake any training, as required, to develop and maintain personal skills to help fulfil the above duties and standards.
Essential:
- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks
- Sheet metal / mechanical experience.
- Able to understand technical and/or architectural drawings.
- Experience with Office 365, including Outlook and Excel.
- CRM experience.
- Strong math ability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to manage own time effectively.
